George Jeffrey Children’s Centre (GJCC) Service Navigation is an internal program that facilitates access to our services. Our goal is to support and empower GJCC clients and their families in finding the right information about our services and resources. The Service Navigation team is a central point of contact that can provide support throughout the GJCC journey.

Families and caregivers play a key role in working alongside us so that we can understand the unique needs of each child/youth. We form collaborative relationships with caregivers and other professionals to ensure our services are meeting the needs of your child or youth.

Our team of Client Service Facilitators are knowledgeable about GJCC eligibility criteria and available programming. Their role involves aiding in the GJCC referral process, conducting intake assessments to gather client information, assisting with information about available resources, and supporting families in building capacity to support their child/youth in their development.

Following a referral, when you connect with your Client Service Facilitator, we ask that you let us know about any services that your child is receiving or waiting for from another agency or organization. This helps us to understand your child’s needs, address and reduce wait times for multiple services of the same type, as well as to ensure that we work collaboratively with all partners involved to determine ways we can work together to best meet the needs of your child.

In order to help support and empower families right away, we offer access to caregiver information sessions and consultation clinics. See below for more information.

If you have any questions regarding services or are unsure about the service being requested, we invite you to contact our SmartStart Hub at:
