Physiotherapy focuses on your child’s posture and how he or she moves. The physiotherapist assesses movement in order to determine muscle strength, tone, range of movement, deformities, quality of movement, and gross motor development such as sitting, crawling, and walking. The physiotherapist suggests activities, exercises, and other “hands on” techniques that promote movement and proper body alignment.

Our physiotherapists work closely with the family, caregivers, and clients to encourage gross motor development. This may include a home program of exercises as well as active therapy at the Centre.
